Paddle :::: Bite :::: Love

Be fit, build strength & endurance and find your inner power
JOIN OUR TEAM TODAY

One Boat, One Beat Killer Guppies, Kill, Kill, Kill

KG started in 1999 as a festival team. The following year, KG became a year-round non-profit club run entirely by volunteers under the Southern California Dragon Boat Club (SCDBC). The club grew in size, skill and into a respected competitive team, but still maintains its roots as a club in which anybody and everybody can fit. United by our love of competition, travel, and fun, we look forward to competing at high levels of paddling and continue to push to be the strongest paddling team we can be.

Become Fit
We have competitive and recreational boats which allow our members to grow their skill level at their own pace. Regardless of which boat you paddle on, we encourage our team to be the best versions of themselves. You will increase your over-all fitness.
Build Strength, Endurance &
Cardiovascular Fitness
When paddling, you will engage the biggest muscle groups: your back, shoulders, legs and core. Our practices include short-distance interval training and long-distance paddling. With the help of our coaches, our practices help team members master paddling technique, build strength and endurance, and improve cardiovascular fitness.
Paddlers
Our paddlers learn and master paddling technique, body movement and positioning. They work as a crew of 20 to propel the boat forward to the finish line. Practice, on and off the water, makes perfect.
Steersperson
Our steersperson maneuver our boats during practices and races, adjust the boat balance and keeps everyone safe. Attend a steering clinic, practice steering a dragon boat, complete steering exams and you are on your way to becoming a steersperson.
